After the upper bracket semifinals of the Six Invitational, Ubisoft revealed all plans for Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 1. Siege Year 7 Season 1, officially known as Demon Veil launches on Feb. 21 with a new operator, mode, map, skins as well as certain gameplay changes and updates.
The new operator, known as Azami, will become the first half-veiled female operator in the game. The new map, Emerald Plains, features a country club, private ranch and is set in Ireland. Y7S1 also introduces Team Deathmatch as a permanent mode in Siege.
Siege Azami details
Azami, a Japanese private security agent, is the newest defender in Siege. The operator comes with a Kiba Barrier, a collection of kunai knives that close holes opened by attackers. This gadget also creates a bulletproof barrier. Azami’s gadget can block off entry points, create new angles of defense, and close sightlines. Furthermore, the Kiba Barrier was designed to counter vertical plays.
Asides from her primary gadget, the ACS12 shotgun or 9x19VSN submachine are available for her. Moreover, Azami gets the D-50 and can use impact grenades and barbed wire.
 Emerald Plains coming soon
After three years, Ubisoft is answering the demands of players for a new map called Emerald Plains. However, Emerald Plains will not be available on Feb. 21, but much later in the season. Emerald Plains is a luxurious ranch with an exquisite kitchen and bar area. It also has a rooftop deck and barn located outside.
YS71 will also introduce a permanent Team Deathmatch mode on Villa, Theme Park and Favela. Asides from the new permanent mode, Attacker Repick will be introduced. Additionally, match replays will be available to console players and Nomad will receive a new skin.
Demon Veil launches on Feb. 21 with most of the updates available.
