Who is Shroud?

Shroud is a former professional Counter-Strike player. He played for Cloud Nine from 2015 to 2017 and then retired to pursue a career as a streamer. He streamed popular shooter games like Counter-Strike and PUBG on Twitch and moved to Mixer in 2019. The 26-year-old is notably one of the best FPS players out there.

Shroud was one of the most successful streamers on Twitch before moving to Mixer, with over 7.1 million followers. His success continued on Mixer prior to the platform’s shutdown. After Mixer’s shut down, Shroud had an important decision to make: who was he going to continue his career with? After a lot of speculation from fans, he chose his original platform, Twitch.

Shroud’s return to Twitch

Shroud announced today via Twitter that he is returning to Twitch, where he got his start. Twitch is easily the biggest streaming platform for gamers, but he could have also chosen to go over to YouTube Gaming or Facebook Gaming. He, however, chose to sign an exclusive deal with Twitch.

He has not yet announced when he will resume streaming, but we can expect to hear something within the coming days. We can also expect that he will probably be playing Valorant upon his return, as he hasn’t had too much time to stream it since Mixer shut down.
