Should you pull Feixiao or Lingsha in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5?

Here’s our guide to help you choose between the new 5-star characters, Feixiao and Lingsha, in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5.

With the release of Honkai: Star Rail version 2.5, two new playable 5-star characters have been introduced: Feixiao and Lingsha (along with the new 4-star Moze). If you’re like me, who has a limited supply of Stellar Jades, you can only invest in one character, so choosing wisely becomes essential. Let’s break down who you should pull for based on your team’s needs.

It all boils down to what you need in your Party

Feixiao and Lingsha serve different roles in your team, making the decision easier depending on what you’re looking for.

Feixiao is a 5-star Wind Hunt character who excels at dealing Wind DMG and follow-up attacks. Her Ultimate becomes active after gaining stacks through your team’s attacks, triggered every two hits from your members. In short, Feixiao is designed to be your primary DPS character, dealing consistent damage over time. If you’re in need of someone to carry your team in battle, Feixiao is your go-to choice.

Lingsha, on the other hand, is a 5-star Fire Abundance character focused on healing and support. She summons an incense beast to aid your team by triggering follow-up attacks, healing, and dispelling debuffs. She also has the ability to increase the Break DMG that enemies take, making her a viable unit if you need a healer who can also enhance your team’s damage potential.

Who to choose?

Ultimately, if your team is lacking a strong DPS character to deal continuous damage, Feixiao is the character to go for. Her ability to deliver Wind DMG while benefiting from follow-up attacks makes her a solid choice for players focused on offense. However, if your team requires a reliable healer with additional support perks like debuff cleansing and increasing Break DMG, Lingsha would be the better option. I personally am aiming for Feixiao, while still rocking Natasha in the support role.

Banner availability

Feixiao is available in the first phase of the Event Warp in 2.5, alongside Moze, Asta, and Luke, until October 2, 2024. Lingsha will debut in the second phase, running from October 2 to October 22, 2024. Her banner features the 4-stars Misha, Natasha, and Guinaifen.

By the way, there’s also a new rerun banner that includes Kafka, Black Swan, and Robin. You might want to consider whether you’d prefer pulling for one of these familiar faces or investing in a brand-new character.
