Despite not competing in Reykjavík, the former Masters champs will still be involved

Riot announced its list of watch party streamers for VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 1 Masters, which includes Sentinels players Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan and Tyson “TenZ” Ngo. As a result, despite being out of the tournament, they can still provide commentary and analysis for fans to watch during the first international tournament of the year, which starts on Sunday.

When fans saw these two players hoist the Masters: Reykjavík trophy in 2021, they witnessed the rise of a powerhouse. But now, in 2022, Sentinels failed to make it out of NA Challengers 1. Despite showing moments of brilliance during the tournament, their moments of weakness resulted in a 3-2 group stage. Their losses came against The Guard and Version1, who later knocked them into the losers bracket and eliminated them from the tournament, respectively.

Co-streams return to VALORANT

As is tradition for international Riot competitions, fans will be able to watch tournament gameplay through multiple streams that offer different kinds of content tailored to different viewers. For example, the popular Plat Chat co-streams for both 2021 Masters 3 Berlin and VCT Champions 2021 hosted a group of analysts with more casual and uncensored commentary when compared to the official broadcast. At the same time, non-VALORANT-focused big names like Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren and Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm co-streamed Masters 3 Berlin, attracting a lot of their own fans to the competitive scene.

This time, the list of watch parties includes G2 Esports, The Guard and XERXIA Esports, as well as talent like Kyedae, the Plat Chat gang, Tarik “tarik” Celik and more. ShahZaM and TenZ, meanwhile, will stream on their respective Twitch channels. The tournament runs from Sunday until April 24.
