Rainbow Six Siege: Details for the upcoming Six Major esports event

For fans who may be unaware, Rainbow Six Siege is about to take center stage in the world of esports. Ubisoft announced the Six Major Paris event months ago with a schedule of the event that begins on August 13.

This is the first-ever event of its kind, and Ubisoft has plans to continue the event annually across the globe. The first Six Major event will take place at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. This competition is being touted as the largest Rainbow Six esports competition in Europe to date. The total prize pool awaiting competitors is $350,000. While the first three days of the competition will not be accessible for public consumption, the crowds will be welcome to cheer on contestants starting with the quarter-finals on August 17. All matches, including those not open to the public, will be streamed on Ubisoft’s official channels.

For those intending on following the action this year, the Six Major Paris schedule is as follows:

• August 13-15: Group Stage (closed to the public)
• August 17: Quarter Finals
• August 18: Semi Finals
• August 19: Grand Final

The competing teams will be divided into four groups as shown below. The results of these segments will determine which teams will make their way to the quarter, semi, and grand finals.

As noted previously, the Quarter Finals will allow the first public access to the competition on Friday, August 17. The semifinals and grand finals will take place the following Saturday and Sunday respectively. In-between matches, an esports panel will take place featuring the documentary Another Mindset, and the reveal of the already teased Operation Grim Sky DLC will be shown. The schedule breakdown of everything is shown below.
