Rainbow Six Siege Oceanic Nationals Stage 1 kicks off March 25

Stage 1 features a $25,000 AUD prize pool

Ubisoft announced Monday the 2022 Season of the Oceanic Nationals will be starting on March 25. The Oceanic Nationals feature the best Rainbow Six Siege teams in the region. Stage 1 will consist of a $25,000 AUD prize pool.

Stage 1 Schedule

Eight teams will face off against one another in Stage 1 of the Rainbow Six Siege competition. The format will be a single round robin, best-of-one series. Overtime will be part of the Stage in order to determine the order and ranking of each of the eight teams.

Stage 1 kicks off on March 25th:

  • Friday, March 25 – Playday #1
  • Friday, April 1 – Playday #2
  • Saturday, April 2 – Playday #3
  • Friday, April 8 –Playday #4
  • Monday, April 11 – Playday #5
  • Friday, April 22 – Playday #6
  • Friday, April 29 – Playday #7

Promotion and regulation matches will be a part of Stage 1. The bottom placed team in the OCN will also compete against the top placed team in the Oceanic Challenger League. Stage 1 will finish with all teams from both the OCN and the OCL competing in a new finals tournament, the Oceanic Championship Series. All the teams will face off in a 16-elimination bracket. The champion team will walk away with an additional $10,000 AUD prize.

The second and final stage will then take place between June and August.

Partners and Charities

There are several partners and charities on board for the 2022 OCN Rainbow Six Siege competition. LIVIN is returning as a charity partner. They are a mental health organization breaking down the stigma around mental health. The Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife (FNPW) is a non-government organization will the mission to protect Australia’s wildlife and ecosystems.
