Gligar, and its evolution Gliscor, recently returned in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask DLC. Gligar made its debut all the way back in Generation Two’s Johto Region, with Gliscor added in Generation Four as an evolution. To evolve Gligar, players will need to seek out a rather rare item and give it to their Gligar.
Here is how to get this item and evolve Gligar in the Teal Mask.
Where to find Gligar
Gligar is a version exclusive Pokémon in the DLC, exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet. If you have Pokémon Violet, you needn’t worry as you can simply get one through trading. For Scarlet players, Gligar can be found in the wilds of Kitakami in a variety of locations. The Pokédex, pictured below, shows all locations where Gligar is found:
How to evolve Gligar into Gliscor
To evolve Gligar into Gliscor, you’ll need to give your Gligar a Razor Fang to hold. Once it’s holding it, you’ll just need to level it up at night. You’ll have to wait around for a bit if it’s not already night-time in-game, but you can check the time of day in-game by opening the map. The in-game time does not correlated to real-life time, so changing the Switch’s clock won’t speed things up any.
There are plenty of ways to obtain a Razor Fang, but the easiest and most straightforward way is finding it here in this cave in Kitakami.
