The Pittsburgh Knights have announced beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola Company as their newest sponsor. The collaboration will feature the Pennsylvania esports organization helping launch a new drink – Coke Energy. The two brands will collaborate on a content series with its well-known Rocket League team, among other promotional efforts.
Pittsburgh Knights, Coca-Cola partnership
“We know how much the esports community loves their energy drinks, so we’re thrilled to share Coke Energy with our fans,” said Pittsburgh Knights president James O’Connor, in a release. “Kicking off this partnership with our Rocket League team is just a perfect start. Lots to come in 2020 and we’re really looking forward to working with Coca-Cola.”
Coca-Cola recently released Coke Energy as its competing product in the energy drink space. The non-alcoholic beverage brand’s signature drink already contains caffeine. A standard Coke contains 32 mg, and a Diet Coke 42 mg, for each 12-ounce serving. However, the newly launched product features 114 mg of caffeine in the same size. Four varieties are available: Coke Energy, Coke Energy Zero, Coke Energy Cherry, and Coke Energy Cherry Zero.
This is not a drill. We're partnering with @CocaCola for the launch of Coke Energy and #RLCS9.
So get ready for more Rocket League content, this time fueled by your new favorite energy drink. (Trust us on that.)
