PewFat made it to Grand Finals on winners side. They defeated Jefferey “billybopeep” Palmer & Michael “Nut” Silver, Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma & Daniel “ChuDat” Rodriguez, and Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman & Justin “Plup” McGrath.

PewFat’s run was not flawless. The duo dropped a five-game set in Grand Finals to Team KFC, Johnny “S2J” Kim and DaJuan “Shroomed” McDaniel. However, PewPewU & SFAT retaliated with a 3-0 win over S2J and Shroomed in the second set.

PewPewU & SFAT lost their first Doubles tournament in over a year at Pound 2019 in April. They lost two sets to Mew2King & Plup and placed second. Prior to their loss at Pound 2019, PewPewU & SFAT had not placed second since EGLX in March 2018.

Though they did not win like at GOML 2019, S2J & Shroomed had a respectable run to second place. Their first notable win came in the round before top 24. S2J & Shroomed defeated Austin “Shinobi” Kent & Robert “Bobby Frizz” Fraser to advance out of pools on winners side. Team KFC dropped into losers fairly early however, losing to Cody “iBDW” Schwab & Kristian “Rocky” Cruz in Winners Quarters. Nevertheless, they mounted a strong run through the losers bracket.

S2J & Shroomed made it into top 4 by defeating Matt “Boyd” Reymann & Drew “Drephen” Scoles, Zaid “Spark” Ali & Avery “Ginger” Wilson, and Hungrybox & ChuDat. In Losers Semis, they got their revenge by winning a close set over iBDW & Rocky. From there, the duo won additional sets over Mew2King & Plup and PewPewU & SFAT. They ultimately finished shy of the gold, failing to defeat PewFat a second time.
