Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 has been the weirdest time for the battle royale title. There’s been little to no content at times, and Epic Games stopped releasing patch notes for seemingly no reason. While there’s still interest in the game thanks to its various events and general popularity, something has been lacking. It appears both the community and streamers think this way, as the biggest gamer in the world, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, has made his opinions known. According to Ninja, Fortnite Season 2 needs to add more mobility and/or change the huge zone pulls Season 1 has featured.
Should Fortnite add more mobility?
In the past, one of the most enjoyable aspects of Fortnite has been mobility. From the Hoverboard to the Baller to the Launchpad, a majority of players had fun zooming around the map in various ways.
However, Epic Games felt that with a new map in Chapter 2, less mobility was needed. And by less mobility, we mean virtually no movement items whatsoever. Launchpads, Ballers, etc. were all thrown in the vault with Chapter 2.
This didn’t go over well with the community, and months later, it remains a hot topic among players. Ninja, speaking on Twitter, detailed how he would fix the mobility issues currently plaguing Fortnite.
With the least amount of mobility that Fortnite has ever had, and an even bigger map than season 1, the incredible zone pulls to one side of the map 10 times in a row is a little stupid. More mobility needs to be added, or less dramatic zone pulls.

In addition to the mobility, Ninja believes that the drastic zone pulls are also an area of concern. With almost no movement beyond running, if you’re on the wrong side of the map for zone, it becomes harder to traverse the map.
However, Ninja had a different opinion on this matter a short while ago. So, though he may feel this way now, his opinion can change. The same goes for the rest of the player base.

Regardless, it’s fairly clear that Fortnite Season 2 should implement more movement beyond the boats and swimming. The question is, will Epic Games adhere to the community’s wishes?
