The update provided plenty more options for players looking to express themselves in-game as well.

Dataminers revealed that a plethora of new cosmetics could be coming to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel in the near future. These cosmetics include things like new duel mates, new duel fields, new profile icons, new sleeves, new mate bases and new wallpapers.

On the wallpaper front, six new monsters were seen in the game’s files as wallpapers. These monsters include Accesscode Talker, Shooting Quasar Dragon, Elemental HERO Honest Neos and a few more.

There were also over 20 different profile icons in the datamine as well. Among the most notable ones were Dante, Pilgrim of the Burning Abyss; Spyral Quik-Fix; Warrior Dai Grepher; House Dragonmaid; and Great Shogun Shien.

There were also new card sleeves featured in the datamine along with standard red and green sleeves with the Master Duel logo on them. Outside of those, eight new sleeves based on different archetypes exist in the datamine as well. These sleeves include the archetypes of Dragonmaid, Six Samurai, Orcust and more.

The datamine also showed four new additions for duel fields. These new fields seem to be generic-looking and not tied to certain archetypes. One looks like the frozen tundra, one appears to be set in a downtown cityscape, one appears to be on the outskirts of a forest and the other is formed out of ancient ruins.

Most of the additions seem generic, but there is a lot more variety and interest around the new mates that were discovered in the datamine. For starters, there appear to a few brand -ew ones. These include:

  • Ghostrick Skeleton
  • Danger!? Jackalope?
  • Marshmallon
  • Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo
  • Kuriboh

But there also seems to be a new type of mate. Konami appears to be preparing to experiment with “Deluxe Mates.” These are mates that change their appearances throughout a duel. The first one in the game’s files appears to be Laundry Dragonmaid, who changes from her human form into her dragon form.

Konami has not officially announced any of the mined content, and like with any datamine, some of this might make it to the full game while other pieces are pushed back or don’t launch.
