The popularity of battle royale games such as Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends has reached the elite of the elite, it would seem. According to a post on Hush Hush (the luxury version of Amazon), one anonymous customer wants to bring the game to life and is looking for help.
To make this dream come true, the customer needs to acquire a private island. They also have to enlist the expertise of game makers and event planners.
Bringing battle royale to life
Should the plan work out, the event will take place for three days on the secluded island. 100 people will be battling it out for 12 hours a day. During the evening, participants will camp out with food and equipment provided. The last man standing will walk away with £100,000 prize and bragging rights.
So how does this work in real life? Players will use airsoft guns and come equipped with special touch-sensitive armor. No actual killing required.
If successful, this could become an annual event
Hush Hush’s founder Aaron Harpin commented on the idea. The real-world battle royale is still in the early stages until they acquire the proper individuals.
Battle royale games have become incredibly popular over the last few years ago and our customer is a huge fan who wants to make the game a reality in the safest way possible. If the championship is a success this year, it’s something he wants to make an annual event moving forward, which is very exciting!
One would have to assume this customer with very deep pockets must be tired of playing these games digitally and wants to see them brought to life. For those who think they can help pull this off, they are welcome to apply on Hush Hush’s website. They will be paid £1,500 a day.
The total length of the project is expected to take about six weeks to complete. The lucky game maker who nets this project will walk away with a good chunk of change as well. Should this actually pan out, we will be sure to provide more details as they become available. One thing is for sure, this event will be talked about for quite some time.
