LOUD reported to lose two players to Sentinels, keeping rest of core for 2023

The VCT 2022 champions are splitting into two pieces, but remaining in the Americas

According to recent reports, both Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi and Bryan “pANcada” Luna from the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 victors LOUD are going to Sentinels for 2023.

While many players from top teams in 2022 are available in free agency, the rest of the LOUD core will remain on the team for 2023. This leaves both teams incomplete, with only a few open roster spots left. After remaining a North American roster in their time in VCT so far, Sentinels are picking up some South American talent from the recent world champions to get back to the top in 2023.

Sacy and pANcada’s path to Sentinels

The report talking about this move comes from George Geddes at Dot Esports, revealing the news.

As for Sacy and pANcada, despite their success on LOUD, they hadn’t played together before joining the Brazilian superteam. Sacy made waves in 2021 playing for Team Vikings, reaching Champions in 2021 but not making it far. As for pANcada, he fought on both B4 Esports and Stars Horizon in Brazil. Both shared some success regionally, more so for Sacy and Team Vikings. However, they only reached true heights once they formed LOUD.

Starting off 2022 with an undefeated stage, LOUD instantly shot up the power rankings when they went to Stage 1 Masters in Reykjavík. At their first LAN as this squad, the team stomped through the upper bracket, defeating OpTic Gaming to get to the finals only to lose to them afterwards. Second place was a great performance for this squad, proving their strength in Brazil wasn’t only regional.

Asides from a poor performance at Stage 2 Masters in Copenhagen, the team remained a favorite to compete at Champions. So, when the team went on an eerily similar run to Stage 1 Masters, reaching the finals from the upper bracket, fans were expecting an OpTic rematch or two. This time around, they beat OpTic twice and earned the 2022 championship title.

However, even after winning it all, franchising loomed over all players. A lot of competitive players became free agents, plus with teams like OpTic and G2 Esports not making it in, some top-tier talent was available. Despite LOUD making it into franchising, it seems that players from the 2022 roster have made their decisions. Sacy and pANcada will move to the United States and join a popular franchise in Sentinels, while the rest of the LOUD core will stay.

Sentinels and LOUD’s current rosters post-moves

The report that the rest of the LOUD core is remaining comes from The Enemy. Here are the two rosters’ builds including recent reports:

Sentinels:

  • Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi
  • Bryan “pANcada” Luna
  • Zachary “zekken” Patrone
  • Rory “dephh” Jackson (reported by Dot Esports)

LOUD:

  • Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro
  • Felipe “Less” Basso
  • Erick “aspas” Santos

Both teams have spaces to fill. As per VCT 2023 rules, both LOUD and Sentinels must have six players on the roster by Oct. 15. This means that Sentinels still have to sign two players, one starter and one substitute. LOUD have three spots to fill, two starters and one substitute.

The biggest question on both of these rosters revolves around star Sentinels player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo. Whether he will remain on Sentinels or move on, we’ll have to wait and see.
