Grammy-nominated rapper and producer Logic has signed an exclusive streaming contract to become the first official Twitch music partner. The move comes right before his new album, No Pressure, releases on Friday, July 24. Starting tomorrow at 5 PM PT, he is set to premiere his new upcoming songs on his first partner stream.
Logic’s new streaming contract is bringing interactive streams that include a mixture of in-studio sessions, gaming, and special guests. The partnership is an extension of Twitch’s plan to expand community engagement through content other than gaming.

Although he recently announced his retirement from music to focus on fatherhood, the 30-year-old musician is finding other ways to stay creative. As of today, he’s released five studio albums, several mixtapes, and singles. One of his most successful hits, “1-800-273-8255,” addressed the sensitive topic of suicide, eventually earning certified platinum 5× from the Recording Industry Association of America.

This isn’t the first time he’s dabbled in the gaming community. He’s been an active user on Twitch since 2015/2016 and currently has over 1 million channel views. In December 2019, he’s played a few Call of Duty games with TSM’s Ali “Myth” Kabbani, as well as Richard Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.

Showing support
The Head of Music at Twitch, Mike Olsen, commented on the exclusive partnership, showing support for Logic as a content creator.
“Logic embodies the evolution of Creators that we’ve seen over the last few years on Twitch. He came to Twitch as a gamer but understands the value of the Twitch community and how our passionate and engaged audience can also connect with and support his music.”
Additionally, he stated this is a brand new, unexplored area for Twitch. “This type of streaming partnership is new for Twitch but speaks to what is happening on the service with our growth across non-gaming content.”
Fans can catch his first Twitch music partner stream at 5:00 PM PT/ 8:00 PM ET on Tuesday, July 21. He’ll be premiering a sneak peek of his final album No Pressure ahead of its July 24 release.
