Nintendo fans have been hyped lately as the Switch has offered more and more popular games that were once unavailable to Nintendo systems. But will the Dead Space Remake be one of those games? Unfortunately for Switch owners, the answer is no.

Why won’t the Dead Space Remake be on the Nintendo Switch?

The Dead Space Remake has taken the original game and upgraded it for next gen consoles, the most powerful systems out there. The incredibly improved graphics and new content — including brand new side missions — are just some of the upgrades that horror game fans will notice. But these exciting updates also mean that the Nintendo Switch simply can’t handle Dead Space Remake.

The remake’s focus on graphics makes it a bit pointless to add to the Switch. To work on the Nintendo Switch, the renovated graphics would have to be essentially minimized. The Switch can’t handle graphics-heavy games like Elden Ring and Call of Duty. The amount of content is another reason that these titles and the Dead Space Remake wouldn’t work on Nintendo’s latest console.

Nintendo Switch fans should no longer hold out hope for a Dead Space Remake port. But 2023 has many other games for Nintendo fans, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4. Popular releases like Hollow Knight: Silksong and Hogwarts Legacy will also be arriving on the Switch this year.
