Is Spider-Man 2 coming to PC?

PC fans want more Spidey

Spider-Man 2 is set to launch on the PlayStation 5, and only this console, on Oct. 20. As expected, Sony has continued to have exclusive rights over the Spider-Man franchise from Marvel, meaning no other platform can access these titles at launch.

However, PC fans have enjoyed ports of the original Spider-Man and Miles Morales a couple of years after they were released, so can these fans expect the same with Spider-Man 2?

While Sony does have a long list of exclusive games, the company has made it a point to ensure that at least the PC player base can play most of them at some point. Sony has released dozens of PC ports for its most popular exclusives, such as The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn, and both Spider-Man and Miles Morales.

Of course, these ports are not released on PC right away, so when can fans expect to see Spider-Man 2 pop up in their favorite PC marketplace?

Spider-Man 2 on PC

First and foremost, it’s not a foregone conclusion that Spider-Man 2 will eventually end up on PC. While it’s incredibly likely given what’s happened with the previous two Spider-Man games and several other PlayStation exclusives, nothing has been totally confirmed.

For the sake of this guide, though, let’s assume that Sony continues the trend of releasing PC ports for its exclusive titles. If the same is to happen with Spider-Man 2, then fans will have to wait roughly two years to play the game on their computers.

This is the current waiting period for the development of the ports. Sony also wants to ensure that the word “exclusive” still holds some weight, which is another reason why it takes so long for the PC ports to arrive. It’s likely we will hear more information about a possible Spider-Man 2 PC port after launch. However, after that, we’ll have to wait for updates regarding the progress of the port and its expected arrival time.

If I were a betting man, I would wager that Spider-Man 2 hits the PC marketplace sometime in mid-late 2025.
