With summer coming to an end, the fall season of video games is coming into the spotlight. To help kick that off, Gamescom Opening Night Live is showcasing over 30 games that are set to come out in the near future. Gamescom is an annual event that will run from Tuesday, Aug. 23 to Aug. 28 this year, taking place in Cologne, Germany. However, the biggest game announcements will take place on opening night. Gamescom will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, who also hosts Summer Games Fest; this will be the first time the event will have in-person attendance in three years.
As of right now, we know that over 30 games will be showcased in some fashion at the event. Of course, there are certainly games that will garner more attention than others. Titles such as Hogwarts Legacy, The Callisto Protocol, and Sonic Frontiers are at the forefront of the show.
Gamescom Opening Night Live streams and schedule
For fans looking to tune into the event, they can do so by going to The Game Awards’ Twitch or YouTube channels beginning at 2:00 PM ET on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Geoff Keighley stated in a tweet that Gamescom Opening Night Live will be a two-hour show in front of thousands of fans. Over 30 games will make an appearance on stage during the opening night alone.
