Hogwarts Legacy has seen a lot of success since its release on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X on Feb. 10. The game is already the best-selling PS5 game on Amazon and is also doing well across other platforms.
However, several PS5 players have complained about license verification issues with PlayStation Network while playing Hogwarts Legacy. This issue kicked players out of the game and they are unable to reopen the game after the error.
Anyone else got the warning saying license can’t be verified for hogwarts legacy on ps5?
How to fix?@PlayStation @HogwartsLegacy this is mad annoying.

PS5 version kicked me out, server unreachable.
Console sharing option is not applicable for me as this is secondary PS5.
Any idea on when it becomes usable again? HP fan club overloaded, license servers not available, i’d not call it a great start… 😭 pic.twitter.com/LIRAl7F5GX— Pavel Kitsu (@KitsuAMS) February 7, 2023
How to verify license and avoid issues on PS5 for Hogwarts Legacy
If you haven’t verified Hogwarts’s Legacy’s license, you’ll need to go to your settings and select your Users and Accounts tab. After this, select restore licenses and it should take two to three minutes to restore. Players that have experienced a license verification error message on their PS5 while playing the game can also try restoring their license by accessing it from Users and Account.
If you go to restore licenses and it states that it can’t connect to PlayStation Network, try using the Wifi connection on something else as the PlayStation may be experiencing a limited network outage. You can check the PlayStation Network service status to be sure at all times. Additionally, you can try logging off and on and resetting your router. There has been no official statement from WB Games or PlayStation regarding the issue but players can reach out WB Games support team on Twitter.
