With the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, every player is scrambling to learn everything about the new battle royale experience. The game is brand new for everyone as is all of the fresh content and features that were introduced with it. However, there are some things that have not changed one bit. The ability to use voice chat to communicate with your teammates, and let your enemies hear you after you’ve died, is something that has not been altered in the slightest. While we now have proximity chat in the mix, the basic voice chat function is the same in Warzone 2 as it was in the original.
With the introduction of proximity chat and a new game as a whole, it’s natural for players to wonder if voice chat has been altered at all. Players will also want to ensure that their voice chat is working correctly so they can communicate effectively with their teammates. If you’re at all curious about voice chat in Warzone 2, then keep reading below for a full synopsis of it.
Using voice chat in Warzone 2
First off, you’ll simply want to make sure that your voice chat is turned on and working. To do that, go to the settings menu in Warzone 2 and then navigate to the Audio tab. From here, scroll down until you see the section for voice chat. Here, switch Voice Chat to “on” and Last Words Voice Chat to “On” as well. Of course, you can switch both off as well if you want to remain silent.
Moving on, you will need to set your Voice Chat Device to your primary listening device and your microphone to whatever mic you’re going to be using. Finally, you’ll need to decide if you’ll be chatting with your teammates/enemies all of the time or only when you want to. If you want to chat non-stop, then set the “Voice Chat Recording Mode” to open. Alternatively, if you only want to be heard when you want, then set it to Push to Talk and set a Push to Talk keybind. That way, you’ll only be heard when you press and hold that button.
And with that, that’s everything you need to know about using voice chat in Warzone 2.
