One of the most exciting new additions in Dying Light 2 Stay Human is the paraglider. You’re now able to glide around the open world that’s infested with zombies in addition to parkouring over any and all buildings or objects.
The mechanics behind the paraglider are fairly simple, but you’ll be surprised how quickly your time runs out with it. It can also be relatively slow when you first gain the ability to use the glider. Luckily for you, all of the paraglider’s attributes can be upgraded in Dying Light 2.
Once Lawan gives you the paraglider, she will tell you a Craftmaster can upgrade it. However, at this point in the story, Craftmasters haven’t been required for much. There was always Alberto in the Bazaar, but you likely didn’t have much to upgrade during your initial few hours in the story. Now, you have a fancy paraglider to upgrade and can do so easily in Dying Light 2. You just have to find a Craftmaster.
Upgrading the paraglider in Dying Light 2
To find a Craftmaster, look for their logo on the map. The logo is a half sun that looks like a “C” with some arrows around it. If you find this logo, go to the merchant with it above their head and press the button to trade with them. From here, go to the “Upgrade” tab in the Craftmaster menu.
Here, you have the option to upgrade your gear, including the paraglider. Select the paraglider blueprint and you’ll see you need a certain amount of Military Tech and Old War Money. Old War Money is just the coins you find by searching bodies and other containers on the map. Military Tech is harder to come by and will require you to search GRE crates for the most part.
If you have enough of the resources, you can upgrade your paraglider. The upgrades will consist of increasing the paraglider’s duration, speed, etc. You can upgrade the glider a total of three times in Dying Light 2.
