Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 has arrived, introducing an alien invasion and a Superman skin along with it. There are UFOs, actual aliens and a giant Mothership which can be interacted with from across the island. While players fight the extraterrestrial beings, Superman will be available on August 12, 2021 to help with the invasion.
The DC hero was a huge part of the marketing campaign for Season 7. Epic Games showcased his classic Clark Kent glasses, as well as multiple other pieces of art surrounding him. However, players are still wondering how they can unlock Superman’s skin in Fortnite. The answer may be a tad disappointing for fans, however, as it won’t be available for some time.
Superman comes to Fortnite in August
Despite Superman being a large part of the marketing material for Season 7, his skin is currently not available to unlock in the game. As the Battle Pass screen shows, the skin will become unlockable in 65 days as of the time of writing. That puts Superman’s availability at August 12, which is still two months away.

Veterans of Fortnite will remember that heroes like Deadpool and Aquaman featured a similar unlocking system. Like those previous heroes, Superman has his own challenges that will be integral in unlocking his skin. These challenges, in conjunction with owning the Battle Pass, will allow players to unlock Superman when he becomes available.
The challenges will become viewable in Superman’s tab on the Battle Pass screen. In the weeks leading up to Superman’s release, each new challenge will unlock.
While some might be disappointed in the wait time, August 12 is a date to remember in Fortnite Season 7.
