Every new season of Call of Duty introduces anywhere from three to five different weapons. Sometimes these new weapons are meta-shifting, and sometimes they’re forgotten about by the end of the season. Most of the new weapons in each season are guns that players can use to level up and unlock camos for in multiplayer or battle royale; however, there are also one or two melee weapons in these seasonal updates that players often overlook. In Warzone and Vanguard Season 4, that new melee weapon is the Push Dagger.
We don’t know much about the Push Dagger as of yet; Activision mainly focused on this season’s new guns, the UGM-8, Marco-5 and Vargo-S, in their update blog regarding Season 4. The Push Dagger was only given a brief description: “Built for speed and stealth, this new melee tool will be a great addition to loadouts where close-quarters fights and silent takedowns are critical to a mission’s success.”
That description certainly makes the Push Dagger sound like an exciting weapon to use. Fortunately for players, it sounds like the weapon will be arriving shortly after Season 4 launches on June 22. In addition to that, we also know exactly how to unlock the Push Dagger in both Warzone and Vanguard. You can see how to do so below.
Unlocking the Push Dagger in Warzone and Vanguard
The Push Dagger is unlocked upon completing a specific challenge for the weapon. There are two challenges players can complete; only one needs to be completed to unlock the weapon. Players can take their pick and dive into either Warzone or Zombies to unlock the Push Dagger.
- Multiplayer/Warzone: Get 5 Melee Kills with a Primary Weapon in a Single Match 15 times. (Hint: use the Bayonet attachment on a primary weapon for better lunge, or the Fast Melee Perk for quicker maneuvers, via Activision).
- Zombies: Get 100 kills with a Melee weapon while shrouded by your Aether Shroud. (Hint: the new Shi No Numa experience, with interiors that could trap you with the undead often, can be a great way to get kills, via Activision).
If players want to speed up the process, they can also purchase the store bundle containing the Push Dagger. This bundle isn’t free like the other options, but it does immediately unlock the weapon for players in both Warzone and Vanguard.
Season 4 arrives on June 22 for all systems.
