If you have visited the Alchemist’s shop in one of the many towns across Diablo 4, then you likely saw the Incense tab at the top of the menu. This is one of a few tabs at the shop, but you actually can’t access the tab at the start of the game. On the other hand, you can access all of the tabs just fine, which includes the Potions tab that allows you to craft several different concoctions to help you.
Incense works just like regular Potions do in Diablo 4, they simply aren’t unlocked at the same time. Naturally, players have wondered when they gain the ability to craft Incense. In this guide, I will explain how and when this becomes possible in Diablo 4.
Unlocking the Incense tab in Diablo 4
Fortunately, there is only one level requirement to unlock the Incense tab in Diablo 4. In order to start crafting Incense, you must reach level 45 in Diablo 4. Upon doing so, you can visit any Alchemist’s shop, go to the Incense tab, and see that one Incense has been made available to craft.

Similar to how Potions work, as you level up, more Incense will become unlocked, allowing you to craft them. The first Incense you will unlock is called Song of the Mountain, but there are 14 total Incense that you can eventually unlock and craft. Here are all of the available Incense in the game:
- Song of the Mountain
- Chorus of War
- The Creatures of Night
- Reddamine Buzz
- Soothing Spices
- Spiral Morning
- Scents of the Desert Afternoon
- Storm of the Wilds
- Desert Escape
- Spirit Dance
- Ancient Times
- Sage’s Whisper
- Queen’s Supreme
- Blessed Guide
Once you have crafted one, you can use it by going into your inventory, clicking on the consumables tab, and then selecting the Incense you want to use. Hovering over it allows you to see all of its benefits and buffs.
