Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 is almost upon us, launching tomorrow on Feb. 15 for all players. The new season will deliver a plethora of content, including the new Ashika Island, Ranked Play in multiplayer, and a wide variety of changes to the core Warzone 2 gameplay mechanics. While MW2 multiplayer won’t see as much content on launch, players will still have access to a few different weapons, including the ISO Hemlock, KV Broadside, and the Crossbow.
While the Hemlock and Broadside will be available on the Season 2 Battle Pass, the same can’t be said for the Crossbow. That special weapon has an unlock process that’s entirely different in both MW2 and Warzone 2. To see exactly how you can unlock the Crossbow in Season 2, keep reading the guide below.
Unlock the Crossbow in MW2 and Warzone 2
To unlock the Crossbow, players will need to complete all seven challenges in the upcoming Path of the Ronin event. This event will launch shortly after Season 2 releases and will feature a plethora of unlockable cosmetics in addition to the Crossbow. The challenges in the event will be split up into the “Seven Virtues of the Bushido,” which are Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity, and Loyalty.
We know the first three challenges already, which are different for MW2 and Warzone 2. You can see those challenges below:
- Integrity
- MW2 multiplayer: Win 15 matches in any game mode
- Warzone 2: Get five top-10 finishes
- Honor
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 100 objective defense kills
- Warzone 2: Collect your dog tag (Restore Honor) 5 times
- Sincerity
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 50 kills using Battle Rage
- Warzone 2: Complete five Assassination Contracts.
You only have to complete one task in each challenge, so you can pick and choose if you own both MW2 and Warzone 2. Once you have completed all seven challenges, you will unlock the Crossbow in both MW2 and Warzone 2. However, if you don’t want to spend your time completing tasks, you can purchase a Store Bundle containing the Crossbow as well. There’s no word on what this bundle will be called or how much it will cost.
Season 2 of MW2 and Warzone 2 launches at 1 pm ET on Wednesday, Feb. 15. The Path of the Ronin event will launch sometime after that.
