Modern Warfare 3 is adding two new weapons in the Season 2 update, and here's how you can unlock the BP50 Assault Rifle.

New weapons are a staple of Call of Duty’s seasonal updates, so it’s no surprise that MW3 and Warzone Season 2 are introducing a new assault rifle in the BP50. Here’s how you can get your hands on it.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is full of additions, from new 6v6 multiplayer maps to new modes like Hordepoint. Of course, no seasonal update is complete without new guns, and the BP50 Assault Rifle is the next weapon to be added to our loadouts.

Unfortunately, it won’t just be unlocked for us on February 7 when Season 2 releases, but if you’re not sure how to get it, we’ve got the answer.

How to unlock MW3’s BP50 Assault Rifle

MW3 and Warzone’s BP50 Assault Rifle can be unlocked by completing Battle Pass Sector B7 in the Season 2 Battle Pass.

Each Battle Pass sector has five tiers, completed by earning XP in matches and earning Battle Pass tokens to unlock items.

The BP50 is a “modular bullpup chambered in 5.56,” which the devs say has a high rate of fire and “exceptional accuracy” at mid to long-range.

We’re not sure how it will stack up against some of the game’s more popular ARs like the MCW or the MTZ-556, but that should become clear once the weapon is live on February 7.

It’ll also be interesting to see how it squares up in Warzone, but the fact that the devs say it’s strong in mid to long-range gunfights, it could find itself becoming meta in the battle royale.
