SMITE 2 has been confirmed by developers and there’s already talks of an alpha.
At the SMITE World Championship, Hi-Rez revealed that SMITE 2 is actually coming after a month of promising leaks. It will be “built from the ground up” on Unreal Engine 5, with updated graphics, user interface, and an entirely reworked ranked structure.
“SMITE 2 takes everything players love about SMITE 2 and wraps it in state-of-the-art visuals, animation, and gameplay,” developers said in a press release.
How to join the SMITE 2 alpha
To make the SMITE 2 announcement even more exciting for fans of the MOBA, developers revealed that an alpha is already in the works.
If you want to join the alpha, head to the official SMITE 2 website. Here, you’ll see a button that says “REGISTER FOR ALPHA.” From there, all you need to do is this:
- Select the platform you want to play the alpha on (Steam, Epic Games, Xbox, PlayStation)
- Enter your email
- Confirm that you are over 13 years old (and read the Terms of Service if you want)
- Select if you want to get SMITE 2 news or not
- Click CONTINUE
Developers have not shared when the alpha will be dropped but it will most likely be very soon. Why? Leaks suggest the game itself will be coming in March of 2024.
