Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is a free-to-play battle royale that is one of the most popular games on the market today. While the transition from the original Warzone to the sequel has been a little rocky, the player base has followed in strides, setting player count records across the franchise. As such, many players might have any number of questions. One of the most pertinent ones, it seems, is how to invite friends in Warzone 2, which is what we’ll be explaining today.
This question really gained traction last week when the Social menu for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 went completely down. This forced players to look at alternative ways of inviting their friends to a match. While the Social menu is back up and running, we’ll be looking at those alternatives so players know in case the Social tab ever does go down again.
Invite friends in Warzone 2
For starters, the easiest and most efficient way of inviting someone to your current match is to click on the Social tab. This is found in the top-right of the screen and can be found by clicking “Options” on a controller. The Social tab is located in the right menu when you hit that button. Once you’re in the tab, scroll over one section to the “Friends” menu. This will display all of your current friends on your platform and through your Activision account. Simply find the friend(s) you want to invite in Warzone 2, click their name, and press “Invite to Game.”
While that’s the easiest way, there is one alternative that can be used in case the Social tab isn’t working. Players can press “Options” again, but this time they need to scroll over one tab to the headphones icon tab. Here, they can select “Party” and then select any number of their friends to invite to their current game. This basically does the same thing, but it’s a more lengthy process instead of inviting someone directly.
Now you can invite a friend to your Warzone 2 game, no matter what pesky bugs are present in-game.
