The Druid class might not be the most popular one to pick in Diablo 4, but it has some extremely powerful unique items that players can equip. Like all other classes, Druids need the absolute best gear if they want to survive the endgame loop of Diablo 4. While players can get by with basic Sacred or Ancestral items, why not try and go for a unique weapon that will decimate enemies?
The Greatstaff of the Crone is a two-handed staff that comes with five base affixes, including extra damage to crowd controlled enemies (x2), extra damage to close enemies, added non-physical damage, and ranks to Claw. Speaking of the Claw skill, it’s what the Legendary Aspect for the Greatstaff of the Crone is based on. It has the following effect: “Claw is now a Storm Skill and also casts Storm Strike at [120 – 150%] normal damage.”

Getting the Greatstaff of the Crone in Diablo 4
If you’re familiar with unique items in Diablo 4, then it will come as no surprise to learn that the only way to acquire the Greatstaff of the Crone is to get lucky. That’s right, you will have to rely on RNG and hope that an enemy or chest drops the staff for you. The only requirement you need to follow is to play on World Tier 3 or 4.

My recommendation to try and speed this process along is to complete Helltide events by opening Tortured Gift chests and run Nightmare Dungeons. These are the two best ways to quickly acquire unique items in Diablo 4, but they in no way guarantee you will receive the Greatstaff of the Crone at some point.
You can also simply try to complete seasonal questlines and open caches from doing side quests and exchanging Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers. However, if you’re playing in Season 2 specifically, you can attempt to farm the boss Duriel, King of the Maggots. Duriel is a great source of legendary loot, but they can take a while to defeat and will still take a while to acquire the Greatstaff of the Crone.
The Diablo gods will have to be on your side for you to see the staff fall. I’m personally still looking for the weapon at 200 hours in, for reference. So don’t be discouraged if you’re not seeing it quickly.
