To get past the Impassable Cave in The Plucky Squire will require some ingenuity and common sense, both of which completely left me for a moment. If you’re anything like me, this guide will help you navigate the dark caverns of Mojo with ease.

Speak to the bookworm

As you enter the page, a bookworm will speak to Jot and co. She will alert them of the bridge’s destruction by Humgrump’s dark magic.

Use the staircase

On the left of the page, directly in line with the bookworm, there is a staircase. With the bridge destroyed, make your way down the staircase to enter the cave.

Activate the switch

Your way will be partially lit by Jot’s Plucky Glow. Navigate downward and activate the switch to open the way forward, but be weary of the shadowy trolls ahead.

Defeat the trolls

Once the way opens, defeat the trolls with a swish and a swoosh of Jot’s plucky pen sword and climb up the ledges. Head down again and defeat more pesky trolls throwing gooey blobs.

Jump toward the spikes

Just before the edge of the ledge, there are spikes on the roof of the cave. Fear not, for they won’t harm you. Jump toward the spikes to light the way to a nook on the left. Do not jump down or you will lose health.

Continue the climb

The route will be revealed as you move up, with the words, “Jot explored the Impassable Cave” becoming visible. Defeat the trolls and find a spot where the roof is slightly elevated. Jump up and take out the final troll.

Run through the words

Where the route seems blocked out and you see only the words, run through them and jump across two platforms to get to the end of the page, and the cave.

You will come out of the cave on the other side of the bridge, bringing Jot and co. one step closer to the Tome Tower. Forthwith little heroes!
