How to get Messi, Pogba, and Neymar Jr. operators in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2

Gear up with three of the biggest football stars in the world

Three of the biggest football (soccer) stars in the entire world will be arriving in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 later this year.

As confirmed by Activision, Messi, Neymar Jr., and Paul Pogba will come to both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 as playable operators. This will coincide with an in-game “FC event” that celebrates the start of the FIFA World Cup in mid-November. The Season 1 update, which was revealed in full earlier today, will arrive around the same time.

It’s unclear exactly when the in-game event will begin in MW2 and Warzone 2, but when it does, players will be able to get their hands on all three football operators.

Getting Messi, Neymar Jr., and Pogba in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2

Activision stated in its Season 1 blog post that the three football operators will arrive in separate store bundles. As of right now, it’s not precisely known how these bundles will be priced or their exact contents. The Season 1 roadmap for MW2 and Warzone 2 simply states that all three operators will arrive at different times throughout the FC Event. The dates for each operator are listed here:

  • Neymar Jr. – Nov. 21
  • Paul Poga – Nov. 25
  • Messi – Nov. 29

On these days, players can navigate to the in-game shop to purchase the specific bundle that contains the operator. If we had to assume, each bundle will be priced at roughly $15-20 and contain some football-themed cosmetics, the operator itself, and perhaps a weapon blueprint. If players want to own all three operators, they will need to purchase each bundle separately.

In addition to the Messi, Neymar Jr., and Pogba Operators, the FC event in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will introduce a new game mode called CODBall. We will receive more details on that and the FC event as a whole after Season 1 launches on Nov. 16.
