Knotroot is a bit more rare than the usual wood you come across in the world of LEGO Fortnite. You’ll also need a special tool to harvest it once you finally find it.
To find LEGO Fortnite knotroot, you’ll need to find a cave. Search around for what looks like a big rock jutting from the walls of the cave, but there should be an entrance. Interact with it to be teleported into an underground cave.
How to harvest knotroot in LEGO Fortnite
Once inside a cave, you’ll be able to locate twisted roots growing from the ground. You’ll need an Uncommon Forest Axe to cut through it and collect it — a common axe won’t do the job.
To get an Uncommon Forest Axe before you trek out to find a cave, you’ll need to do a crafting bench upgrade. But once you have the right axe for the job, you can head to a cave, cut the roots, and then harvest some knotroot.
