VALORANT like any other game has its fair share of errors that can pop up and spoil gameplay at any moment and one of these is code 51.

Error code 51 is not a new VALORANT issue and for years it has been stopping players from enjoying the best experience in Riot’s shooter, partying up, and playing with friends. This error seems to make it impossible to create a party and invite other players.

We understand that seeing any error show up can be frustrating but before you get stressed, here is what you should do to remedy the problem.

The best way to fix VALORANT error 51 is simply to restart your game client. According to Riot themselves, this should completely fix the issue and allow you to get back into the game as normal.

If you try this but you’re still having issues then it could be that the problem isn’t on your end, and instead, VALORANT could be having server issues. At this point, we’d suggest following typical troubleshooting protocols.

  • Check the VALORANT social media pages to see if any server closures have been announced
  • Restart your computer
  • Check DownDetector to see if other VALORANT players are dealing with the same problem

Should you go through the above steps but the problem hasn’t stopped and no explanation has been found then the last thing to do is launch a support ticket. Doing this will allow Riot to investigate your particular issue directly and should provide you with a solution once the ticket is addressed.
