Diablo 4 has finally launched worldwide for those who pre-ordered the game or got admittance for the early access period starting on June 1. While the servers have been relatively stable and queue times haven’t been nearly as long as they were during the beta, some players are still facing issues. One of the more common problems seems to be an error that states players have an “Invalid License” when they attempt to launch Diablo 4.

Naturally, players just want to get past this error and get online. However, this does not appear to be an error that is on the player’s side of things. You can look below for all of the possible fixes and updates we have regarding the Invalid License issue in Diablo 4.

Fixing the Invalid License error in Diablo 4

First and foremost, this issue seems to only be affecting those on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It’s possible PC players are seeing the error as well, but we have only seen reports of console players being affected.

In regard to fixing the error, there isn’t much that players can do on their side. This is a server problem that the developers at Blizzard will have to fix in due time. However, we did recently see a developer at Blizzard acknowledge the Invalid License error on PlayStation. The developer stated that they are aware of the issue and are looking into it.

This is the only update we have at the time of writing, however. Aside from restarting their systems, players can’t do much but wait and hopefully get into Diablo 4 within an hour or two. We will be sure to update this article if any additional news or fixes comes along.
