For any fans of the Dark Souls games, the Zweihander sword will be all too familiar. Developer FromSoftware has made a habit of introducing content from their previous games into their newest Elden Ring edition and the Zweihander sword is no exception. However, finding it can be a bit of a hassle if you don’t know where to look.
Any player that wants to use the Zweihander will have to travel fairly far but not to any land they can’t able to handle. If players are determined enough, they should be able to make it to the Zweihander sword within their first five hours of playing. Of course, they’ll also need the stat requirements to wield such a colossal weapon.
Finding the Zweihander sword in Elden Ring
To start your quest for this sword, you’ll need to head south from the starting region of Limgrave. This will bring you into South Limgrave after you cross the Bridge of Sacrifice. From this location, keep following the main road until it diverts to the left-hand side of the region. Follow this road until you get all the way to the end of the landmass.
At the southwestern point of this part of the region, you will find a shack. This is called the “No Man’s Land Merchant” shack. There, you will see a Lost Grace site along with a merchant sitting inside the shack. Discover the Lost Grace and then talk to the merchant.
When his menu pops up, go to “purchase,” where the Zweihander sword can be purchased. It’s classified as a Colossal Sword and has a base physical damage stat of 141+33. It also comes with the Stamp (Upward Cut) Ash of War pre-applied. The sword has a 19 Strength and 11 Dexterity stat requirement, so you won’t be able to wield it right from the get-go. However, if you throw some points into those attributes early, you’ll be all set.
You’ll need 3,500 Runes to purchase the Zweihander, so come prepared with the right amount of money.
