Last night, Epic Games released another patch in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7. This meant that data-miners could find out the weekly challenge lists before they went live and discovering upcoming content. A new weapon, the Grab-itron, was also released as a result of the patch. However, the data-miners discovered one final piece of content: the locations of the Week 9 Alien Artifacts.
The Alien Artifacts make yet another appearance in Week 9. They’ll likely keep surfacing until Season 7 ends in early Sept. Players can collect the artifacts to upgrade their Kymera skin from the Battle Pass. Kymera’s extra styles are only unlockable from the player’s inventory of Alien Artifacts. As such, the Week 9 batch is as important as ever for players who want even more styles for the alien skin.
The Week 9 Alien Artifacts in Fortnite Season 7
There are five Alien Artifacts located on the island each week. These five equate to four total Alien Artifacts each, so there are 20 up for grabs. These five artifacts, once collected, will add 20 total to the player’s inventory so that they can further upgrade Kymera.
Players must find the individual artifacts, interact with them and then move onto the next. Once all five are collected, players can wait until next week to collect more or open Cosmic Chests for a chance at even more.
Below, players can see the locations for the Week 9 Alien Artifacts.
- Artifact #1: Stack Shack, on the island northwest of Holly Hedges
- Artifact #2: Near the Guardian Tower in Weeping Woods
- Artifact #3: On top of the Defiant Dish east of Weeping Woods
- Artifact #4: At the Gas ‘N Grub south of Corny Complex
- Artifact #5: At the Unremarkable Shack northwest of Craggy Cliffs
The five Alien Artifacts aren’t too difficult to locate in Week 9. Upgrading Kymera this week won’t cause too much trouble, which is great for any Fortnite player that has the skin unlocked.
