Earlier this morning, Epic Games released the v18.21 update in Fortnite Season 8 to introduce new seasonal content. There’s the return of Fortnitemares, the addition of the Cube Queen and other Sideways-related content, and Ariana Grande has even turned into an NPC that hunts monsters on the island. Lost in all of this shuffle, though, is the fact that a current NPC Dark Jonesy received his own set of Punchcard quests in Fortnite.
Dark Jonesy has been on the map for weeks but players couldn’t start his new set of Punchcard quests until now. This means that when players go to talk to him, they can start a new questline and begin earning valuable Battle Pass XP in Season 8. However, before that happens, players need to know where Dark Jonesy is stationed in Fortnite.
Finding Dark Jonesy in Fortnite
Like his v18.21 counterpart Ariana Grande, Dark Jonesy is located at a named POI in Season 8. This means players can find the location easily from the Battle Bus and plan their trip down with ease beforehand. When they jump off of the Battle Bus, players will need to head to Steamy Stacks. Specifically, the western side of the location on the northeast coast of the Fortnite map.
Once there, players should see a talking bubble appear on their screen that indicates exactly where Dark Jonesy is patrolling. However, if they don’t see one, they must head to the biggest building on the western side of Steamy Stacks. This is where Dark Jonesy is normally located, so players should be able to find him around this area.
After players have located the NPC, they can interact with him to start their Punchcard questline. Like other NPCs, Dark Jonesy has five Punchcard quests in Fortnite worth 30,000 XP each. Players can also go back to Dark Jonesy to receive some items in exchange for Gold Bars.
