If you’re looking for a challenge in LEGO Fortnite, you may want to go head-to-head with a Brute. There are many formidable foes in the world of LEGO Fortnite but the Brute is most definitely the toughest to take down. Here’s all you need to know about finding and beating Brutes.
What are Brutes in LEGO Fortnite?
Brutes are massive enemies that have a dinosaur-like appearance. They will charge through the environment, knocking down trees and have very high health. But taking down a Brute will get you Brute Scales, a rare resource that you’ll most definitely want.
There are currently three types of Brutes, each in different locations in LEGO Fortnite. This includes Brutes, Sand Brutes, and Frost Brutes. Here’s how to find them all.
Where to find Brutes in LEGO Fortnite
Brutes spawn randomly but there are some areas where you will eventually come across them. Standard Brutes can be found in the Grasslands, usually near the Shores Biome. Sand Brutes, which are gray and orange, are in the Dry Valley Biome. Frost Brutes are, surprise, in the Frostlands.
How to fight Brutes and defeat them
Brutes have a lot of health and really strong attacks but you can still take them down with the right knowledge and strategy. Here are the attacks that Brutes use to take you down and how to avoid them.
- Normal Strike: This is a close-range attack where the Brute will swing its arms. You can use a dodge roll or just run away to avoid it. You can also block with a shield but you’ll stagger.
- Charge Attack: The Brute will spring towards you. You can dodge roll or run to avoid it, or use a shield and accept the stagger.
- Stomp AOE: This powerful move cannot be blocked. You’ll need to dodge roll or run to get out of its range.
To survive these attacks and also do enough damage in return, you’ll need to upgrade your Max Health and come in with a high-tier weapon and health items. You can also bring a Villager or friend with you. Another great tactic is to bring wood and build a bed nearby where you spot the Brute so you can respawn near the Brute every time you are taken down.
Try to stay a bit far from the Brute during battle. You don’t want to be in Stomp’s orbit since it can’t be blocked. Bring a long-range weapon like a crossbow to keep your distance. This may not be as fast as a melee weapon but you can stay safe while chipping away its health over time.
