The Sorcerer is one of the most popular classes thus far in Diablo 4. The “glass cannon,” as it’s described, is an extremely powerful class that can deal a ton of damage in a variety of ways. From frozen spells to heating up the battlefield with fire, the Sorcerer has a plethora of attacks in their arsenal. However, in order to become a true Sorcerer in Diablo 4, players will need to complete the class’ specific quest.

Every class in Diablo 4 has its own questline that needs to be completed in order to unlock the class’ unique specialization. For Barbarians, it’s the Technique slot in the Weapon Expertise tab and Druids have the Spirit Animals mechanic.

If you are playing as a Sorcerer, then you have access to two Enchantment slots that can give your build an entirely new outlook. Keep in mind, those Enchantment slots can’t be unlocked until you find and complete the Sorcerer class-specific quest.

Arc Lash Sorcerer Build for Diablo 4 - Icy Veins

In order to begin the Sorcerer quest, you need to reach level 15 in Diablo 4. Once you reach this milestone, you will receive a new Priority Quest in your quest log as well as a quest marker on your map. Luckily, this quest marker is in Fractured Peaks. The quest you are looking for is called “Legacy of the Magi,” and it will take you to the very southwest corner of the map, near the town of Nevesk.

Here, you can meet with an NPC named Moradrin. They will direct you to the Lost Archives dungeon, where you need to defeat two members of the Demonic Vanguard in order to proceed. Once you are through, you need to loot the chest that contains the Forgotten Codex of power, and then bring it back to Moradrin.

After doing another small task involving lighting some braziers, the quest will be complete and you will unlock the first of your Enchantment slots as a Sorcerer. The second Enchantment slot does not unlock until you reach level 30 in Diablo 4.

And there you have it, how to start and complete the Sorcerer quest in Diablo 4. Enchantments make a huge difference in your build, and I recommend starting with Fireball as your first one. This will make enemies explode upon death and is a truly fantastic attribute to have.
