How to find and catch Felbat in Palworld

One of the more elusive Pals in the entire Paldeck is Felbat, a Dark-type that is useful in combat and important for breeding in Palworld. However, Felbat is not a Pal you can find by just walking around the map at a specific time or in a certain region.

Fortunately, there is a way to guarantee an encounter with Felbat, as you can battle its Alpha form somewhere on the map in Palworld. You can see where to find Alpha Felbat as well as how to catch the Pal out in the wild in the guide below.

Finding Felbat in Palworld and how to catch it

To begin, let’s go over where you can find Alpha Felbat, as that’s where a majority of you will likely see the Pal for the first time. Alpha Felbat is located on the western side of the map and it’s level 23, so don’t venture to its dungeon without being the appropriate level. More specifically, you can find Alpha Felbat on the Forgotten Island, which is northwest of the volcano region, as seen in the map screenshot below:

As Felbat is a Dark-type, you want to bring along Pals who know Dragon-type attacks. Those attacks are super-effective against Felbat and are the best way to bring its HP down below 500. Once you get the Alpha’s HP below 500, you can start throwing spheres at it. The best sphere to use against a level 23 Alpha are Giga Spheres, but if you have access to anything higher, like a Hyper Sphere, then use those instead.

Regarding wild Felbat, you can’t find them in a specific region on the map. Instead, you need to either encounter them in a dungeon or purchase one from the Black Marketeer. Dungeons have the chance to either spawn random Felbats or make Felbat the boss of a specific dungeon.

As for the Black Marketeer, this NPC is located at several spots around the map and has the chance to sell you Felbat for some gold. However, the Black Marketeer has a random pool of Pals at any point, so there’s no guaranteed way to ensure you can buy one.

The final way to acquire Felbat is through breeding. Here are some of the possible combinations used to breed Felbat in Palworld:

• Rushroar + Celaray
• Rushroar + Melpaca
• Rooby + Celaray
• Penking + Mau
• Chikipi + Penking
• Penking + Teafant
• Lifmunk + Incineram

These are all of the methods you can use to catch Felbat in Palworld. It’s not an easy endeavor, but it’s a worthwhile one to fill up your Paldeck.
