There are dozens of new Pokémon that were introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. From the legendaries, Miraidon and Koraidon, to the trio of starters, players have much more exploring to do if they want to fill up their Pokédex. Another new Pokémon that’s native to the Paldea region is Pawmi, a cute Electric-type that players encounter extremely early on in their journey. While Pawmi is a solid early game Pokémon, players will want to evolve it as quickly as possible in Scarlet and Violet.
Pawmi has two evolutions, and it gains the Fighting-type alongside the Electric-type after its first evolution. Interestingly enough, though, Pawmi and its evolutions don’t learn many Fighting moves, so players will mainly use it for Electric purposes unless they want to teach Pawmi some Fighting-type TMs. The first evolution of Pawmi is Pawmo, and this evolution occurs like most others in the game.
However, in order to evolve Pawmo into its final form, Pawmot, players need to complete a specific task.
Evolve Pawmi in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
To evolve Pawmi into Pawmo, all you need to do is level up Pawmi to level 18. This will trigger its evolution, and you’ll have yourself a Pawmo. If you want to go even further and evolve Pawmo into Pawmot, you will need to walk 1,000 steps in Let’s Go Mode with Pawmo.
This is done by pressing “R” on your Switch joycon when you have Pawmo at the front of your party. Pawmo will then be sent out into the wild, where it can fight wild Pokémon on its own to grow stronger. To evolve it into Pawmot, it needs to walk 1,000 steps while out on its own. Once that’s done, your Pawmo will evolve into Pawmot the next time it levels up.
That’s everything you need to know about evolving Pawmi into Pawmo and Pawmo into Pawmot in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
