How to defend the anti-air emplacements in Space Marine 2

If you’re playing with friends, you should have no problems finishing this mission up in a jiffy. However, when you’re playing solo, it can be quite difficult to keep the enemies off of the antennae while your fellow Marines do nothing but duke it out with the ground forces.

Here’s how I completed the Skyfire mission and successfully defended the Anti-air Emplacements.

It’s actually not too difficult, even though I came close to losing an antennae, I’m not the most skilled player. So if I could do it, you sure can!

First, you’ll need to direct your marines. You can do this by aiming at a spot on the ground (or in this case, the antennae), and hit the up button on the d-pad. If you’re playing on PC, check your key binds — I played for about five minutes before I realized this game is far easier with a controller (even though aiming effectively is more difficult).

If you are playing on PC and don’t have a controller, I’d advise you to change your binds anyway (who thought C was a good key for parry?). But I digress.

You’ll see an icon pop up and your marine will give a vocal command. That’s how you know your marines have heard you, and they’re going to get to the command… eventually. Sometimes it takes them a while.

That’s why it’s also wise to grab the Bolt rifle with the Grenade launcher in the previous mission, since those grenades do a great job at clearing out the antennae without damaging them. You can also chuck normal grenades at them, but I kept those for the hordes of ground units attacking while you try to keep the antennae clear.

Finally, when those annoying flying enemies show up that buff the ground units, pop your special ability and take them down as quickly as possible.

And, finally, there are some ammo crates and a cache nearby — so don’t forget to restock when you need to!

And that’s it, that’s how I cleared it. It can be tough on your own, but it’s doable. Don’t get disheartened, it might take a few tries. It’s a pretty difficult game!

Anyway, if you’re a trophy hunter, we’ve prepared a handy Space Marine 2 trophy guide to keep open next to you while you play, so you know how to get them all and reach for that Platinum.
