Fortnite Season 7 has brought a number of new challenges for players to complete to level up their battle pass. Players will need to venture across new locations, collect different weapon types and more in order to finish up Week 1.
The tasks aren’t too difficult for the first week. However, there are some tricky challenges that players might need some guidance on.
Fortnite Season 7 Week 1 challenges
In total, there are seven challenges available for week 1 of Season 7. Completing every week 1 challenge nets players a whopping 210,000 XP. Players should keep in mind, though, that this is just for the base tasks and doesn’t include legendary challenges that can be completed over the course of the season
Here are the current challenges in Fortnite Season 7:
- Collect different weapon types (0/5): 30,000 XP
- Search chests at Steamy Stags or Craggy Cliffs (0/7): 30,000 XP
- Deal damage with the Pulse Rifle (0/500): 30,000 XP
- Elimination with the Rail Gun (0/1): 30,000 XP
- Accept a quest from a payphone (0/1): 30,000 XP
- Upgrade weapons at upgrade benches (0/3): 30,000 XP
- Buy a shield potion from a Mending Machine (0/1): 30,000 XP
A majority of the tasks are simple in both theory and practice. There are the standard “search” and “elimination/damage” challenges that Fortnite players have grown accustomed to over the seasons. However, there are also tasks that many players won’t immediately know how to complete.
These tasks mainly relate to the payphone and Mending Machine challenges. But, both of the tasks simply require players to find each of the items. Payphones can be found in most major POIs and appear on objects such as bus stations. They are yellow in color and look like a regular payphone. Players must interact with it and accept the subsequent quest to complete the challenge.
As for the Mending Machines, these are more sparse in Season 7. Below, players can see where each machine is located on the map.
Players just need to buy a shield from the machines, which will cost at least 30 gold bars. Once that’s done, the challenge is complete.
The week 1 tasks in Fortnite Season 7 should keep players busy but aren’t too difficult to complete in the long run. The week 2 tasks will unlock on Thursday of next week.
