A new set of Overtime challenges has been released in Fortnite, being 8-Ball vs. Scratch. Coming with 12 different challenges, some of these tasks are fairly difficult to complete. However, we already covered where to search for the hidden gnomes, so check that out if you haven’t already. For this guide, we’ll be going over how to complete the dance traversal challenge. While you can take the long route and traverse normally, there are a couple of easy tricks to get this one done in no time.
Dancing 100 meters in Fortnite
Last year, Epic Games made it possible to move while dancing. Only certain emotes have this function, however, so you need to pick a dance that allows for movement. A couple of great ones are Bunny Hop and Conga. Though, there are many more options available to players.
Once you have your traversing emote picked out, head into a normal match of Fortnite. It can be an LTM, casual, or competitive playlist. Next, make your way to the bottom right corner of the map, southeast of Misty Meadows. If your battle bus doesn’t cooperate with this, you can wait or use another trick we’ll talk about later.
Land at the spot that’s shown in the Reddit clip below. You should see a zipline on the mountain that you landed on. Simply start dancing, walk up to the zipline, interact with it, and you’re dancing while riding the zipline. This will count towards the challenge and should complete it with one ride of the zipline.

However, if you are struggling with this method or can’t make your way over there, we have another way. Hop into a doubles or squads match with a friend and try to secure a boat. Have your friend drive and you hop in the back. Once you’re in the boat, start a traversal dance emote and have your friend hit the gas. Doing this for around 10-15 seconds should be enough to complete the challenge.
We hope this guide was helpful in your challenge hunting! Keep up with Daily Esports for all Fortnite coverage.
