How to complete Luminary Wardance event in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5

The Luminary Wardance event in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5 is live, celebrating the Xianzhou ceremony that honors the Reignbow Arbiter and the Cloud Knights who once defended the Xianzhou ships against the Abominations of Abundance. At the heart of this event is a martial arts contest, where Luka represents Belobog, and you, as the Trailblazer, step in as his coach.

While the event can feel lengthy, here are some essential tips to help you breeze through the combat challenges.

Make use of the powerful trial characters

In each match, you’re provided with three trial characters, which vary for each challenge. You also get a fourth open slot for one of your own characters. Opting for a healer in this slot works well, as the trial characters are generally strong enough to handle most situations.

For example, I used Natasha consistently and had no trouble winning the challenges.

Use the recommended Tactical Codex and Tactical Beverage

Throughout the event, you’ll unlock buffs in the form of Tactical Codex and Tactical Beverage. The Codex gives you an active buff and is available from the start, while the Beverage provides a passive buff later in the event.

The game recommends which buffs to use before each match, and sticking to those will make your battles much easier.

Trigger highlights to accumulate Vibes

Every match comes with mechanisms called Highlights. These involve specific actions you need to perform during the match to trigger the Highlight and earn Vibes.

Borrowing the trial characters and following the in-game hints should make this task fairly simple.

Aim for the Super Hype state

Vibes are your audience’s support, and as you gain the upper hand in battle, you’ll accumulate more of them. Reaching the maximum Vibe count triggers the Super Hype state, which boosts your team’s damage a lot.

Focus on breaking your enemy’s weaknesses to accumulate Vibes faster and maximize your damage output.

Knockout matches lead to the ringmaster

Every time you want to challenge a ringmaster, which is a character from the game such as Topaz, Boothill, and so on until Yanqing in the end, you have to participate in Knockout Matches first with two minor opponents. 

However, you can only challenge one opponent at a time though, so it’s two matches and then a final match with the ringmaster for that arena.

Dreamscape Training for extra rewards

Dreamscape Training is a valuable part of the event, allowing you to challenge ringmasters again after defeating them. You can use trial characters here too, and the rewards, including Stellar Jades, make it worth your time. So there’s no real reason to not do it.

The Luminary Wardance event isn’t just about combat fun — it offers a solid story with Luka as the lead. Although the event will be recorded in the Conventional Memoir for later play, the limited-time rewards make it worth completing before the deadline on October 21, 03:59 server time.
