How to complete all of the old woman’s quests at the beginning of Reka

So you’ve completed the quests around Kopnik, and it’s time to help the Old Woman with her ritual… soup, I mean soup. She’ll ask for a variety of things, and here’s where you can find each one, plus two more chests, while you explore.

Where are the Lutki?

As you leave the witches’ cabin, where you collect your first mushrooms, there’s a boat with a chest in it, so don’t miss that (I did on my first playthrough, for whatever reason!)

The Lutki are your first stop, and you can follow the quest marker on your compass there. You’ll find plenty of Honeycomb and Mushrooms on your way, plus a sack in a tree nearby.

Shoot the sack down and collect it for a few rewards.

As you approach the home of the Lutki, keep a look out for plants with red berries on them. You’ll want to collect these berries for a whole bunch more rewards when you arrive at the Lutki.

You’ll need to free one of the Lutki that’s stuck under some rubble, but before you do that, speak to each of the Lutki by hitting E. You’ll give them one of these berries and they’ll give you a piece of decor in return.

Now it’s time to free the stuck Lutki. You can do this by simply left-clicking to clear all the debris off of him. Speak to him to receive the Talisman, and teleport home.

The Pine Branch and the Chicken

The next part of the quest is dead simple. As you exit the witches hut, go straight to the pine branch that should be marked on your map. Collect it, then head back and pick up one of the chickens in the garden.

It doesn’t seem to matter which one, any will do.

As you follow the witch, you can collect more things along the way (left-clicking still works while you’re holding something). So you can grab some grain (which you’ll need later), berries, honeycomb and mushrooms on the way.

When you arrive, you’ll need to use the pine branch on the lit candles near the witch to cleanse the area. Cleanse each of the four areas, and the next part of the quest will start.

The Egg and the Talisman

Your next task is to collect a special egg for the witch. Simply run back home and grab the egg, which you’ll find on a shelf in her house.

Also be sure to grab some grain on your way if you didn’t get it earlier. You’ll need to place the egg inside the oven when you get back, leave grain and honeycomb in the correct bowls as instructed, and then destroy all the bones in the area using the Talisman given to you by the witch.

As you complete this penultimate step, make sure to grab these two chests. The first is near one of the large bones you’ll need to destroy to the south of the site.

The second chest is visible to the west of the site back towards town. You can go ahead and collect it now, you have time.

Finish getting rid of all the bones and the witch will call you back.

Where are the embers in Reka?

The final step is to collect coal embers, which can be found in the over back in the witches’ house. Simply walk inside and look inside the oven. Interact with it and you’ll take the coals in your hand.

Head back to the witch, and you’re done. You’ll have a cut scene, then you’ll have to complete a few building tasks, and the tutorial is just about done. Don’t forget to go around your new house and pick up all the wood with left-click, it’ll basically double your total.

Before you leave though, you may want to explore the area and find all the secrets in the first forest area of Reka.
