Another week in Fortnite means another update, as the v16.30 patch arrived earlier today for Season 6. While the update fixed some nagging bugs in the game, the real star is the addition of several new weapons. One of these is Raz’s Explosive Bow, which is found at a specific location in Fortnite. However, more intriguing is the addition of the Unstable Bow, which is a weapon unlike any other.
Although it sounds like the Explosive and Unstable Bow might be similar, they’re anything but. The Explosive variant has set stats while the Unstable version can transform into any one of four different bows in Fortnite. For this reason, players are extremely intrigued and are highly interested in locating it on the map.
Finding the Unstable Bow in Fortnite
To start the search for the new bow, players need to head to a less-than-frequently visited spot on the Season 6 map. It’s is located between Coral Castle and Sweaty Sands, as seen below.
At this spot, players can find the Rebirth Raven NPC, who will be selling the Unstable Bow for 500 Gold. Players can find gold across the map and once they have enough, they can talk to the Rebirth Raven to acquire the new Exotic bow.
As mentioned above, the Unstable Bow will randomly turn into one of four bows. The bows it can turn into are as follows:
- Fire Bow
- Shockwave Bow
- Grenades Bow
- Stink Bow
While this makes buying the weapon a bit of a risk, it can turn out well if players want a specific bow. Depending on how fast players can find 500 gold, the Unstable Bow could be a worthwhile investment at the start of a Fortnite match. However, it might not be worth the time and effort toward the end of a match if a player’s inventory is already kitted out.
