How the mechanical tub works in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Everything you need to know about it

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is full of items and mechanics that aren’t explained very well. The mechanical tub is one of several items that help the Pokémon Rotom transform into one of its various forms.

All of these items can be purchased from the merchant Ginter, who is sitting by a wagon outside the Galaxy Hall, for ₽ 20,000 to 40,000. It’s one of the most expensive items in the game, but it’s worth it if you hope to completely finish Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Each mechanical item will show up in your home once purchased. All you’ll need is to put Rotom in your party and then walk up and interact with the tub. That will give you the option to transform it. Here are all the mechanical items you can purchase and how they impact Rotom:

  • Mechanical Box – Heat Rotom
  • Mechanical Cabinet – Frost Rotom
  • Mechanical Tub – Wash Rotom
  • Mechanical Pinwheel – Fan Rotom
  • Mechanical Circular Saw – Mow Rotom

Each form gives Rotom a different powerful move to use. You can find Rotom in the Coronet Highlands, where it spawns randomly at either Stonetooth Rows or Sacred Plaza.

Getting each form may take some time, as Ginter sells items randomly. You’ll also have to wait a little while after purchasing each one.
