Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have arrived, bringing hundreds of new and returning Pokémon to the newly-introduced Paldea region. These games continued the trend set in Sword and Shield of not bringing back every single Pokémon from prior generations.
Even so, the Generation 9 games feature a large number of monsters trainers can seek to add to their collections. Here’s an overview of the full Paldea Pokédex and how many Pokémon there are in Scarlet and Violet.
Full Paldea Pokédex
Like previous Pokémon games, Scarlet and Violet feature a regional Pokédex that differs from the national Pokédex used across the entire series. The Paldea Pokédex includes a total of 400 Pokémon. New additions have brought the total number of existing Pokémon above 1,000 for the first time.
