What are Hot Spots in Fortnite?

Hot Spots are dangerous spots on the map. Why are they dangerous? Hot Spots are locations that have extra Loot Carriers and Supply Drones — containing things you need to take down teams early on and get a head start in the match. But this also means that other teams will be desperate to land here and get the drops as well.

You can anticipate that areas marked as Hot Spots in Fortnite will be full of teams fighting for the loot, meaning pure chaos and early eliminations. Depending on your strategy, you will either want to drop into a Hot Spot to fight some teams early on or avoid Hot Spots to gather your weapons and items in peace until the circle closes.

How to find Hot Spots in Fortnite

While you’re in the Battle Bus at the start of a match, open your map. While checking out the POIs you’ll see that there are some names written in gold. Any location that has a name in gold is a Hot Spot for that match. This makes it easy to identify them and make your move.
