Heroes of the Storm update

According to Blizzard’s announcement, the game’s hero rotation will also update on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of every month. Whenever a hero rotation occurs, those in the Nexus can play select heroes for free if they don’t already own them.

Next, Heroes of the Storm will now have four seasonal quests for each new ranked season of gameplay. These quests reset every season, and the current rewards and quests are as follows:

  • Loot Chest: Win 5 Storm League Games
  • Rare Loot Chest: Win 10 Storm League Games
  • Epic Loot Chest: Win 20 Storm League Games
  • Legendary Loot Chest: Win 50 Storm League Games

There are now two months remaining for the second season of the 2022 Storm League.

How to get the Epic Arcane Chaos Lizard mount and more

Heroes of the Storm is also commemorating the game’s seven-year anniversary. As a token to the players, the Epic Arcane Chaos Lizard mount is now available.

To obtain the mount, all a player has to do is log in to the game. They will receive the mount after clicking the gift notification near the top-right side of the screen. Once obtained, the mount can be put in hero loadouts immediately and examined via the “Collection” tab.

As for the Spectral Butcher skin, one can get it by clicking into the “Skins” section under the “Collection” tab and scrolling down to the Diablo character.

The future of the Nexus

On July 8, Blizzard announced that Heroes of the Storm patches will focus on client sustainability and bug fixes moving forward. There will be balance updates, and support for the game will be in a manner similar to StarCraft and StarCraft II.

“To our Heroes community, we say, ‘thank you,'” Blizzard said in the announcement. “You continue to be one of our most passionate communities, we’re grateful for your continued dedication and support, and as always, we look forward to seeing you in the Nexus.”
